Company Overview


Widasla, founded by Dou Fourie in 2004, is a collective of engineering firms specializing in the printing industry. Dou’s journey began with an apprenticeship and training as a print engineer at a prestigious Cape Town firm, leading to the establishment of Widasla Technologies.

The company’s name, synonymous with quality engineering, has been a respected, family trademark for generations. Initially, Dou and his trusted associate, David Sedane, focused on providing specialized services, maintenance, and engineering solutions to printers in Johannesburg.

To revolutionize the pre-owned print equipment market, Widasla expanded by incorporating Widasla Electroplating in 2018 and Widasla Finishing in 2020. Our unwavering commitment to top-tier service, marked by meticulous attention to detail and the principle “My word is my bond,” quickly earned us a loyal clientele.

Our reputation for consistently high-quality service attracted discerning suppliers of second-hand equipment worldwide. We initially exported second-hand equipment from South Africa, gaining expertise in preparing machinery for international shipment. This positioned us as a trusted partner for dismantling, transporting, and reassembling presses globally.

As our stature grew, so did our portfolio, encompassing projects from small-format presses to complex, multi-unit configurations. Each endeavor reflects our ethos of meticulous care, purposeful execution, and unwavering attention to detail.
